Shepherd Foods, Inc., is a processor of food products for the institutional food market and for retail grocery store distributors.  Shepherd Foods is the manufacturer of the Puft 'n Stuft Brand.  Puft 'n Stuft is a frozen stuft sandwich that is in retail locations in the western United States.  Shepherd Foods also services public and private schools, and correctional facilities.  Along with its own products, Shepherd Foods co-packs products for other major companies in the United States.

Shepherd Foods specialize in co-extruded products such as frozen hand-held sandwiches, pizza pockets, fruit filled cookies, and other convenient-type foods. Shepherd Foods currently has some of the best co-extruding equipment available and is one of only a few food co-extruders in the western United States.
 

Shepherd Foods has been in business since 1991. Its leadership is well trained and efficient.  Shepherd Foods has a “resident” USDA government food inspector. His presence allows us wide latitude in the type of food products we produce. 

Chad R. Shepherd is the founder and current President of Shepherd Foods.  Mr. Shepherd originally started the business as

an adjunct to his family egg business. He quickly outgrew those arrangements.  Today Shepherd Foods is situated in its own building.   The period of operation of the company exceeds 14 years.
